On the first pamper day we organized, we realized that what started out as a simple gesture of kindness was actually a much-needed hug for women in their time of need. During that first event,a recipient thanked us with tears in her eyes for what we had done for her. It was the Saturday before Mother’s Day in 2010. That was the first time she ever received a gift for Mother’s Day. Although she had a young child, her abuser had told her for years that she wasn’t a real mom because she had delivered their child by Cesarean. Through the years we have shared many tears of joy and gratefulness by many women during very emotional and trying periods of their lives. Whether they have been affected by domestic violence or dealing with the emotional and physical effects of cancer, our goal is very simple, to bring the beauty

from within to the surface.
